The Friendship Dance

Session Notes Thursday February 7, 2008 Noon Hong Kong
The Lord brought me the scripture today from Psalm 144:1 which says, “Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.” I felt in my spirit to sing this over and over again and the Lord, today and yesterday, brought me a new sound which sounded eternal to me. It says in Isaiah 55:11, “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eaters, so is My word that goes out of My mouth: it will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Then the Lord gave me something in my spirit where I felt I needed to sing about the borders in Hong Kong and the borders on the coasts in the water, and the borders as it relates to China and Hong Kong. I declared that the righteousness of the Lord would be established in the borders of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon and the New Territories. That righteousness would be established in all of the businesses of Hong Kong, the government of Hong Kong, in the school systems of Hong Kong, in each home in Hong Kong, in all of the churches of the city, in all of the manufacturing that goes on, in all of the factories. Then something amazing happened. A person who was at my set felt led to do a prophetic act. When she started doing this dance the Lord was giving to her, I thought to myself, “This looks like a Native American friendship dance that she’s doing.” But I waited to hear from her what it was that she was doing. She told me afterwards that she saw in her mind, an American Indian in full regalia who had a drum that he held up high and just played it very slowly and she closed her eyes very tightly because she wanted to make sure that what she was seeing in the spirit was what she was doing. It was a very slow dance, and simple, just step by step. When I told her that it had brought to my mind “friendship dance” she was amazed and so was I when she told me her interpretation. I believe the friendship dance of the Native Americans is a dance they do when many tribes come together and it is usually done in such a way that each person of an outer circle looks at the person of the inner circle as the two circles pass each other. And it is slow, so that you really need to look at the person in the other circle until they pass, a type of friendly acknowledgement of the other person. The dance steps reminded me of what this person was doing in their prophetic act. So I believe the Lord is probably saying that He is wanting closer relationships and communication among the “tribes.” In this region of the world there are many tribes.
