Africa and the Curtain of Time

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008
Session Notes, Saturday, February 23, 2008, 3:00 p.m. Children’s Worship/Intercession/Prophetic
This week, I’ve been inputting my brother Bert’s book into my computer and getting his new book ready to be published (can you believe it Bert?). I was re-inspired as I was reading through testimony after testimony about how the Lord has spoken so dramatically to Bert. I was especially reminded about his trip through what he called “The Curtain of Time” and I looked it up and found it in the scripture in Psalm 104:1-2 where it talks about the curtain of time. So I felt like the Lord wanted us to set up the “House of God” again in our session and with the children and we set up the 7 Spirits of God (being careful to explain in this multi-god culture that it was not 7 Gods, but 7 Spirits of God which demonstrate different aspects of who our One God is) and then I explained about 8 different names of God, being careful of the same in the explanation. Once we discussed the various names of God, for example, Jehovah Jireh (God our provider), Jehovah Tzidkenuh (God our righteousness), Jehovah Nissi (God is our banner); etc. Once we explained the names of God, we put on our ephods, assembled out in the hallway, the front person was selected who would carry the map of Africa into the house of God. But first, I had set up some River Banners hanging over water pipes in the ceiling to represent the “Curtain of Time” and the children had to enter “The House of God” through the “Curtain of Time” and step into eternity where God dwells and once we brought Africa into this eternal dwelling that the Lord would begin healing the nations of Africa. We laid the map in the middle of “The House of God” and walked around it seven times, waving banners, and then on the count of three, Yup! Yee! Somm! JESUS!!! and then we hollered at top of our lungs like they did in Jericho as a prophetic act that the walls of deception and defeat and robbery would come down. Then each of them received 2 of the countries of Africa that we had not prayed for yet and this is what the children prayed as they all knelt in a circle and laid their hands on the map of Africa:

Chi Ching prayed for Tanzania: Help the people, orphans are crying, unhappy, and helpless. Help them and let them help each other; She prayed for the country of Togo: Bless Togo, that the people trust in You, to know how precious You are and heal them.

Chi Fung prayed for Senegal: Peace to the people of Senegal. Get food t those who are hungery and water to those who thirst, clothes to those who are without clothes, for their needs; He prayed his other country for the Lord to bless the country with peace.

Sean prayed for the country of South Africa and Swaziland: Peace to these two countries, those who don’t know Jesus, that they will know Jesus.

Sam prayed for Sierra Leone and Samolia: Almighty Father God, peace to Sierra leone and Samolia. Many people and animals do not have enough to eat. Father please give them what they ask, give them peace.

Matthias prayed for Mauritius: I hope that the people will be happy and know our God and will go to heaven; he prayed for Morocco - I hope that they will have wonderful days, not too painful, that they might know the Lord.

Ivan prayed for Sao Tome A Principe: Lord please protect the whole country to be blessed to worship the Lord and not worship idols; He prayed for Nigeria: Lord Jesus, that Nigeria, many people of the whole country will believe in Jesus and not fight over little things.

Timothy rpayed for Tunisia and Uganda (helped by Chi Ching): Lord bless Tunisia, that the people would believe in You. Bles Uganda, peace to them;

Teresa prayed for Kenya since getting a letter from a pastor there. Put these people on the hearts of intercesors of the world; intervene supernaturally to provide for food and cothing; provide for the windows and the orphans; clean up the water and I pray that things will start growing; that they will put their confidence and trust in the Lord; I prayed that pilots would fly in there with provisions for those in perial in this country.

After each of the children prayed, as a group, we proclaimed the following scriptures over all of the nations of Africa:

Psalm 9:20   We declare Lord that You will put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men.

Psalm 33:12-17    Blessed is the nation (of Africa) whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance. The Lord looks from heaven, he beholds all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth. He fashions their hearts alike, he considers all their works. There is no king saved (in any of the countries of Africa) by the multitude of a people; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy - We pray that Africa would experience the Fear of the Lord to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul (and the soul of those in the countries of Africa) wait for the Lord: He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us (and the countries of Africa), according as we hope in thee.

Psalm 66:7     He rules by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations (of Africa); let not the rebellious (of Africa) exalt themselves

Psalm 67:4     O let the nations (of Africa) be glad and sing for joy: for you shall judge the people (of Africa) righteously, and govern the nations of Africa.

Psalm 72:11   Yes, we declare, all kings (of Africa) shall fall down before you, Lord; all nations (of Africa) shall serve you.

Psalm 113:4    We declare that the Lord is high above all nations (of Africa), and his glory above the heavens.

Psalm 117:1      O Praise the Lord, all you nations (of Africa); praise him all you people (of Africa).

Proverbs 14:34     Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a shame to any people. We decree that the nations of Africa will exalt righteousness (Jesus); we and they will not be put to shame because of the practice of sin.

We finished by having the children write down the names of the nations that they prayed for and to remember to pray for them this week.

Praise the Lord!

Divine Tension

Session Notes, Monday, February 18, 2008, 6 a.m., Hong Kong
This morning the Lord gave me a new song which was beautiful to my ears. He gave me the scriptures concerning Noah in Matthew 24:35,37-39 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away….But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before flood they were eating and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark. And these people did not know until the flood actually came and took them away, so also shall it be in the time of the coming of the Son of Man.” The Lord waited 100 years while Noah built the ark. His mercy was great. When Jesus came, he said in John 17:4, “I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do.” God’s main purpose is for Him to be glorified in the earth. If judgment needs to happen because of the glory of God, then so be it. My prayer is that God would give us discernment so that we know what vessels are honorable and which vessels are dishonorable—discernment about when we need to be in a state of repentance so that we hold back the judgment through repentance and when is it too late and peoples’ hearts are hardened as the heart of Pharaoh was hardened by the Lord—all for the glory of God and for God to show His signs and wonders in the earth. Help us Lord to know! Judas was made for the day of betrayal of Jesus. He was a vessel of dishonor, made for that day. Yes, he could have repented, but God used a vessel of dishonor to glorify His Son so that the glory of God could be seen, ultimately, in the earth.

A Heart for Africa

Saturday, February 16th, 2008
Session Notes, Saturday, February 16, 2008 - Children’s Worship 3:00 p.m., Hong Kong
One day this week, I woke up thinking about Africa—just the whole continent. So when I had opportunity that morning, I went to the internet and printed off an arial view of Africa with all of the countries outlined and the names of the countries. Then I printed out a page which had all of the countries on them and their flags. Then I printed out another part that had a description of each country and a general geography of each country. I went to coffee that morning and held the map of Africa in my hand while I ordered my “capuccino” at the counter and laid my picture of Africa on the counter and a friend of mine came in behind me and saw the picture and said that he had just had two dreams that night about the country of “Chad” and that there was a white man with an airplane to rescue Christians from Muslim persecution in that country. Then that day, when my friend was teaching a prophetic school, an unusual event took place. Someone showed up at the teaching who was a political refugee from an African country who had just come to Hong Kong and he ended up participating in the remainder of the week of prophetic sessions with my friend Clint—a reminder to me all week about Africa.

So, what I felt about Africa as it related to me is that there were probably some in my Children’s Worship class who would be going to Africa and that I should get these children to begin praying for this continent. So for the children’s worship class, I had them all get on their multi-colored “ephods” and told them that we were going to have a procession and take the country of Africa “into the house of God.” I had set up chairs round about the room with a doorway and we had someone carry the picture of the country of Africa at the beginning of the procession and everyone else followed waving banners and playing tambourines and marching and singing, “We march! We march to the beat of the heart of God!” We brought the country right into the middle of the house of God (the house had eight of the names of God and the names of the seven spirits of God posted on papers in English and Chinese taped to the backs of chairs that were facing inside the circle). They laid down the country of Africa in the middle of the river banners which were laid out on the floor in the house of God and then we prophetically marched around Africa 7 times inside the house of God and shouted “Jesus” for about a minute at the end of the procession. Then each child was given two countries and we talked about where the country was located on the continent and as we described the geographical location and characteristics of each country they were given the Chinese name in writing and verbally of each country. Then we pointed to the countries on our big map of Africa so they could see where that country was and we quoted the verse out of Psalm 2:8 which says, “Ask of me, and I shall give you the heathen for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.” I asked them “What is a heathen?” Initially they didn’t know so we discussed that a heathen is anybody who does not believe that Jesus Christ is God and Savior. That was sobering. Then we talked about the heathen being an inheritance and that the Lord wants to give us that whole “remote part of the earth” as an inheritance.

I had the children gather around the country of Africa which was on the paper in the middle of the room of the house of God and lay their hands on it and each child was to pray for their countries and I would like to document what they prayed today.

Sam was praying for Namibia and Ivory Coast. He prayed they would have peace and protection and that they would have delicious food.

Bernice prayed for Sudan and Benin that the people will be happy every day in their lives.

Timothy was praying for Botswana and Zambia. He prayed that the people will know Jesus and be a country that lifts up Jesus.

Ivan prayed for Angol and Guinea Bissau. He said, “I feel that these two countries are not happy. Many people are sinful because their happiness needs to come from the Lord, not from demons.”

Sean prayed for Reunion and Ghana. “Father, I pray that you help these countries to come to believe in Jesus, and to not worship idols.”

Joy prayed for Zimbabwe and Gambia. “Dear Father, I know that in these countries many do not know You. I pray that they know You as the creator and have peace in You. Please bless these countries.”

Jessie prayed for Algeria and Rwanda. She said, “Lord please heal Rwanda and Algeria. Please heal the land.”

We did not discuss about any “issues” on this continent. I encouraged the children to just listen to the Holy Spirit and pray what He was telling them to pray. Generally speaking, the Chinese people do not concern themselves about being “happy” so when this was mentioned, we believed this was a prophetic insight. A couple of children were coached in their comments, but most were not. Although these children range in ages from about 5 to 12, some had deep spiritual insight in their prayers and we didn’t mention anything to them about the worship of idols.

We ended the class by having them draw their two countries if they could, write the name of the country on their paper, and write out the scripture verse of Psalm 2:8 and to take the paper home and pray for those countries this week.

We didn’t get through all of the countries of Africa, so we will probably continue this next week.

Open One Seal of Revelation 6:1

Friday, February 15th, 2008
Session Notes, Thursday, February 14, 2008, 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Hong Kong
Today, the Lord brought me to Revelation 5:12-14, “…Saying with a loud voice, ‘Worthy is the Lamb that was slain, to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. And every creature in heaven, on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard them saying, ‘Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power be unto Him that sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever. And the four beatss said, “Amen.” and the 24 elders fell down and worshiped him that lives forever and ever.” The Lord led me to sing a new song including all of these words in it and we worshiped the Lord for a long while and then the Lord put in my heart to move on to Revelation 6:1-2, which says, “And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts said, “Come and See.” And I saw, and behold a white horse; and he that sat on it had a and a crown was given to him: and he went forth conquering and to conquer.” As I approached this, I felt like we were worshiping the lamb and then a door opened in heaven and one of the beasts said to come and see what it was. So I believe as we worshiped, we brought in judgment and the Lord has had me dwelling in Isaiah 26:9 the past few days which says, “With my soul have I desired You, in the night; yes, with my spirti within me will I seek You, Lord, early; for when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. Let favor be showed to the wicked and  and he will not learn righteousness. When the wicked is in the land of the upright, he will deal unjusty. and he will not behold the majesty of the Lord.” So I sensed the Lord was bringing judgment into the earth, as we worshiped Him, because those who are unjust do not learn righteousness unless they have to deal with judgment. So actually the judgments of God are to draw people to Himself.

A Russian Harp Player And A Pastor

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008
Session Notes, Thursday, February 14, 2008 6:00 a.m. Hong Kong
This morning, as I was worshiping the Lord, He gave me Psalm 5:1-2, “Give ear to my words, O Lord! O Lord, consider what the meditations are of my heart and listen to my voice, my King and my God. For to You do I pray.” As I was singing this psalm to the Lord, I was thinking of a Russian harp player that I had the priviledge of listening to in a hotel in Kowloon (across the bay from Hong Kong Island) last year. Then my thoughts went to the priviledge of meeting a pastor from Russia while I was in Israel and I lifted up that country to the Lord. I pray for Russia, that the people of that country would not look to dead masters to lead them down a wrong lifeless road, but that they would take the road of the Russian pastor that I met, the road of the light of Jesus Christ. As I was thinking about Russia, I realized the music the Lord was giving me this morning sounded kind of like the music I heard when I was in Russia in 2006. The Lord was redeeming the music to glorify Him.

Two Blind Men

Sunday, February 10th, 2008
Session Notes, Monday, February 11, 2008 6:00 a.m. Hong Kong
This morning, the Lord had me in Matthew 20:30-34, it says, “And behold, two blind men sitting by the wayside, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, ‘Have mercy on us, O Lord, you son of David.’ And the multitude rebuked them because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, ‘Have mercy on us, O Lord God, you son of David.’ And Jesus tood still and called them, and said, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ They said to him, ‘Lord, that our eyes may be opened.’ So Jesus had compassion on the, touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.” I was thinking to myself after I read this, “Now, why would Jesus, when He knew what their problem was, ask these blind men what they wanted Him to do for them?” I dwelled there this morning for a while and this what I believe the Lord gave me. First of all, these blind men were on the path where Jesus was and they could obviously hear Him. So even though they were blind, they could definitely hear the word of the Lord. Their plea to Jesus was, “Have mercy on me!” And I believe this is what caught the attention of the Lord. He was looking at their heart and they were crying out for mercy. Jesus asked them what they wanted Him to do for them because Jesus knew they were blind, but did these men realize their own blindness and would they admit it!? Yes, they did. They admitted that they could not see and Jesus was around religious leaders and people of the day who would not acknowledge that they were blind. Jesus wanted to hear out of the mouth of these people that they were blind and that they needed to see. As soon as they acknowledged that, after having pled for mercy from the Lord, he had compassion on them. That is an important thing for us to remember. As we cry to the Lord for mercy, then he walks by, are we willing to admit our own need for the need for healing on our own spiritual eyes because we’re spiritually blind and Jesus is looking for hearts that will admit that they need to be healed of their spiritual blindness. After crying for mercy and admitting that they were blind, then immediately Jesus was moved with compassion and He immediately healed their spiritual blindness! Help us Lord to have the same attitude….

The Friendship Dance

Thursday, February 7th, 2008
Session Notes Thursday February 7, 2008 Noon Hong Kong
The Lord brought me the scripture today from Psalm 144:1 which says, “Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.” I felt in my spirit to sing this over and over again and the Lord, today and yesterday, brought me a new sound which sounded eternal to me. It says in Isaiah 55:11, “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eaters, so is My word that goes out of My mouth: it will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Then the Lord gave me something in my spirit where I felt I needed to sing about the borders in Hong Kong and the borders on the coasts in the water, and the borders as it relates to China and Hong Kong. I declared that the righteousness of the Lord would be established in the borders of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon and the New Territories. That righteousness would be established in all of the businesses of Hong Kong, the government of Hong Kong, in the school systems of Hong Kong, in each home in Hong Kong, in all of the churches of the city, in all of the manufacturing that goes on, in all of the factories. Then something amazing happened. A person who was at my set felt led to do a prophetic act. When she started doing this dance the Lord was giving to her, I thought to myself, “This looks like a Native American friendship dance that she’s doing.” But I waited to hear from her what it was that she was doing. She told me afterwards that she saw in her mind, an American Indian in full regalia who had a drum that he held up high and just played it very slowly and she closed her eyes very tightly because she wanted to make sure that what she was seeing in the spirit was what she was doing. It was a very slow dance, and simple, just step by step. When I told her that it had brought to my mind “friendship dance” she was amazed and so was I when she told me her interpretation. I believe the friendship dance of the Native Americans is a dance they do when many tribes come together and it is usually done in such a way that each person of an outer circle looks at the person of the inner circle as the two circles pass each other. And it is slow, so that you really need to look at the person in the other circle until they pass, a type of friendly acknowledgement of the other person. The dance steps reminded me of what this person was doing in their prophetic act. So I believe the Lord is probably saying that He is wanting closer relationships and communication among the “tribes.” In this region of the world there are many tribes.

Do Not Forget The Lord Your God!

Monday, February 4th, 2008
Session Notes, Monday, February 4, 2008, 10a-2p (2 Sets)
The Lord took me to some verses in Deuteronomy 8 7-20  “For the Lord your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates; a land of olive oil and honey; a land where you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig brass. When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which he has given you. Beware that you not forget the Lord your God in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command you this day. Lest when you have eatn and are full and have built nice homes and dwelled in them. And when your heards and flocks multiply, and your silver and gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied. Then your heart be lifted up and you forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage–who led you through that great and terrible wilderness, where there were fiery serpents, scorpions and drought, where there was no water. Who brought you forth water out of the rock of flint? Who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers knew nothing about. that he might humble you and prove you to do good at your latter end; and you say in your heart, My power and the might of my hand has gotten me this wealth. But you shall remember the Lord your God; for it is he that gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. And it shall be that if you forget the Lord your God and walk after other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify again you this day that you shall surely perish. As the nations which the Lord destroys before your face, so shall you perish; because you would not be obedient to the voice of the Lord your God.”    In light of punishments that are out of the hand of man and in the hand of the Lord in this day, I believe the Lord is allowing judgment to come on various nations and peoples because the Lord has blessed them (us) and we have gone after other gods. I was reminded out of Jeremiah 9:24 and the Lord gave me new song of this verse below all kinds of repentance going on among those of us who were interceding today, “But let him that glories, glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who exercises lovingkingness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth; for in these things I delight, says the Lord.”

Sing a New Song

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008
Session Notes, Saturday, February 2, 2008 3:00 p.m. Children, Hong Kong
Today, we placed the river of God in the room and the children entered without shoes on and took their places in the river. As they entered, we created an atmosphere of singing. We just finished singing the song “Jesus I Love You” and instead of continuing with the song, I had the pianist continue to play so we encouraged the children to sing new song. We placed the scripture Psalm 96:1 on the screen and asked them to, “Sing to the Lord a new song, sing to the Lord all the Earth, Sing to the Lord and bless his Name, proclaim good tidings of his salvation from day to day.” We went to each child and encouraged them to sing on the microphone their expression of a new song to the Lord. I encouraged them to use the words from the Psalm and also from Psalm 95:1 which says to sing a new song to the Lord also. Then I asked the students if any of them can play an instrument. Several people raised their hands and said they played piano. So I asked them individually to go to the keyboard and the pianist told them how to play a “C Chord” and as they played the “C Chord” they were instructed to sing their own new song on that scripture. As they did this, I could see a transformation in their spirit. It broke something loose in each of the people who participated in that exercise. I then instructed them to practice this week at home or at their church to go to the keyboard and play their “C Chord” and sing a new song to the Lord. After this exercise then I instructed them to sing a new song all together and this was absolutely beautiful. When we emphasized them singing it by themselves over the microphone it was a little challenging for some of them, but when we did it all together, the chorus was marvelous. I encouraged them to direct their song to the Lord and worship him. I quoted multiple scriptures while singing as they were singing in the Holy Spirit to the Lord. Then I gave them paper and pencils or colors and they were encouraged to draw a prophetic picture about what is transpiring while they sing a new song. One of the children drew angels who were encouraging them to sing; another one drew the scripture written out with pictures to depict various words and so on. I believe the impact in their spirits was great!

Justice, Judgment, Righteousness and Peace

Friday, February 1st, 2008
Session Notes, Friday, February 1, 2008 - 6:00 p.m. Hong Kong
Tonight the Lord had me to go to several scriptures on Justice, Judgment, Righteousness, and Peace. Psalm 85:10-11 “Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.” and Psalm 89:14, “Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.” As I was dwelling on this tonight the Lord caused me to see that if there is true peace, righteousness will also be a part of it. If there is not righteousness, then the peace we are experiencing is false. And Justice and judgment are the habitation of his throne—in other words, wherenver God is on the throne, there will be justice and judgment because mercy and truth will come out ever before his face when he’s dwelling there. Romans 9:14-24 also talks about God being in charge of judgment and justice, we need to leave all of these up to him because he’s the potter, we’re simply the clay and he can make us to honor or dishonor. Our only responsibility is to trust him in his judgment and in his justice.
